Many people think of aeronautics as the future and agriculture as a thing of the past. Seeing videos about the latest flying gadgets is cool but most people aren't interested in agriculture just because it isn't futuristic enough. But I think that aeronautics is the future of agriculture. Drones with cameras have been used to monitor crops for quite a while now. People are now moving from using hand sprayers and tractor sprayers to pesticide sprayers attached to drones.
Some companies are selling subscriptions for aerial imagery of crops. They use planes and high tech cameras to take aerial pictures of crops for different purposes like crop yield calculation or water management the information is then sent to the farmer and he can view it and take steps accordingly.

This is somewhat what those pictures look like.
There's also another company that made the impossible possible by launching two hundred plus satellites into space. Now it may sound expensive but they engineered a very small lightweight but high tech satellite. The company is Planet.com. They sell their satellite imagery to all types of people for all sorts of purposes. Because they have so many satellites it is possible for them to actually monitor the movement of the earth on a daily basis. This information can help majorly in sectors like agriculture and help us understand the impact of global warming on our planet.
These were just 3 major things aeronautics is helping agriculture with.
